The fantastic team at Agua de Madre are hosting our water kefir and fermented drinks frolic at their fermentary in Hackney on Saturday 30 April from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
Heard about fermenting but still wondering what all the fizz is about? Consuming ferments but still not quite sure how to make them yourself? Come and join me and my partner in brine, Hannah Robson, for 2 hrs of pure microbial magic! We will chat about microbes and gut health, we’ll make water kefir and taste various fermented drinks, all in the beautiful surroundings of the Agua de Madre fermentary in Hackney.
And if you are in for a penny, in for a pound, there is a fermented vegetable frolic in the afternoon, too.
On top of all that, Dearbhla Reynolds, my friend, fellow fermenter and author of the brilliant ferment recipe book, The Cultured Club, will be making a guest appearance at some point during the day to join the fun.
